History
We began in the fall of 1998 as an interest group named E.S.T.R.E.L.L.A., standing for Each Sister Together Representing Excellence Leadership Loyalty and Admiration. As E.S.T.R.E.L.L.A. we believed that we could come together and create a sorority that would appeal to a diverse group of women.
On November 7, 1999, what once was a dream became a reality. E.S.T.R.E.L.L.A. was recognized as a colony of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. Sigma Lambda Gamma Colony consisted of 21 active women whose goals were to become a chapter. We were finally recognized as the Zeta Beta Chapter on October 14, 2000. |
